We recommend Ocean over Storm SS, also called Storm Scanner, for FiveM, RageMP and the other games they share: Ocean's scanner runs on Windows and Linux, and one game costs $10 a month instead of $14.99. Ocean also covers seven games Storm does not list, with free Minecraft checks, public detection docs and an MCP server.
Facts about Storm come from stormss.cc, its store, its documentation and its terms of service, as of 2026-11-01. Facts about Ocean link to the page on anticheat.ac that states them.
Why teams choose Ocean over Storm
- A Linux scanner. Ocean's scanner runs on Windows and Linux (downloads). A Linux scanner is not listed on Storm's site (as of 2026-11-01).
- Seven more games. Besides FiveM, RageMP, San Andreas, alt:V and Roblox, Ocean lists Minecraft Java, RedM, Rust, Call of Duty, Free Fire, DayZ and SCUM (home). Storm's FAQ lists FiveM, RageMP, GTA San Andreas, AltV and Roblox (as of 2026-11-01).
- Minecraft for free. Ocean is free for Minecraft, with three pins a day when a Discord account is linked (FAQ), and Ocean+ adds more than 800 Minecraft detection types for a one-time payment. Minecraft is not listed among Storm's games (as of 2026-11-01).
- A lower monthly price for one game. Ocean's personal licence is $10 a month, $44.99 for six months or $79.99 a year for one game (pricing). Storm's Personal Monthly plan is $14.99 (as of 2026-11-01). Ocean licences are sold per game.
- Team plans with their slots listed. Ocean's Enterprise plan gives 10 slots for $84.99 and Enterprise+ 20 slots for $114.99, every six months per game (pricing). Storm's store lists Enterprise from $34.99 a month to $154.99 a year; the number of slots is not listed on their site (as of 2026-11-01).
- Public detection docs. Ocean's detection docs explain every detection, warning and integrity check, with per-game pages such as the FiveM detections. Storm's documentation covers setup, custom strings and YARA rules, its API and troubleshooting; a reference of its detections is not listed on their site (as of 2026-11-01).
- Evidence for the ban decision. Each Ocean report includes a cleaning score for signs that the PC was cleaned before the scan, a forensic timeline, an AI opinion in the language you pick, a side-by-side comparison of two scans of the same player, and an export to keep as proof (home). None of these is listed on Storm's site (as of 2026-11-01).
- API and AI agents. Ocean's REST API returns scan results, scanned-user lookups and a 0 to 100 risk score, and a remote MCP server gives AI agents the same data (API docs). Storm documents a public API for scan history and results and an Enterprise API to generate pins and remove users; an MCP server is not listed on their site (as of 2026-11-01).

What they share
Both start with a pin that staff generate in a dashboard, send the player a scanner to run with it, and finish in about a minute. Both let staff add their own detections: Storm through custom strings and YARA rules, Ocean through detection strings and signature rules that it encrypts and ships to the scanner. And both look at what a player deleted before the check: Storm's scan can read the USN Journal, and Ocean flags files that were executed and then deleted, deleted Prefetch files and other detection systems, and recovers deleted files on NTFS and FAT32 drives.
Our recommendation
For FiveM, RageMP, San Andreas, alt:V, Roblox or any other game Ocean lists, choose Ocean: a Windows and Linux scanner, seven more games with free Minecraft checks, public detection docs, a report built for the ban decision, and a REST API and MCP server, from $10 a month for one game. Compare the plans on the pricing page or download the scanner.
